At Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa in Chania, Pelion, our hospitality is connected to the mountain, our gardens and the changing seasons. The following practices describe how we care for the resources we use.

Energy from the sun
We use solar panels to generate electricity and batteries to store it and make better use of that energy throughout the day. LED lighting is used throughout the hotel.
Water from a natural spring
The hotel’s water supply comes from a natural spring. We treat water as a valuable resource and encourage its careful use.
Seasonal produce from our gardens
We grow seasonal produce in our own gardens without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers. Availability follows the season and the harvest.
From the kitchen back to the soil
We use organic restaurant waste to make our own fertiliser, returning nutrients to the soil in our gardens.
Caring for Pelion together
We invite you to switch off lights when they are not needed, use water thoughtfully and let reception know about any leaks. When exploring Pelion, follow marked paths, take your litter with you and respect plants, wildlife and local fire-safety guidance.
